Autism services pursuant to Section 41 of AB 629 passed by the 2007 state legislature

Office of Disability Services (ODS) • Independent Living Autism Services

 

Provides funding to help pay for Evidence-based Treatments

Funding is limited and ends at the end of the funding cycle. June 2009

 

For Children with a diagnosis of:

Autism, Asperger’s Syndrome, PDD-Nos, Childhood Degenerative Disorder

Parents will be asked to provide documentation of diagnosis

 

Serves ages: 18 months  – 19 year olds.

 

Parents agree to participate in data collection, sharing of reports and video at in-take and post funding cycle.

 

Applicants will be subject to the existing Independent Living Program co-pay formula. Formula is based on Family income, less family medical expenses less 200% of poverty level.

This includes insurance premiums, all therapies and money paid toward ABA programs year to date Parents will be asked to provide documentation of medical expenses.

Step One

Parent calls to start the application process, asking for Autism services. An appointment is made and the application is taken over the phone.  Once the application process is complete applicant is assigned a case manager.

A case manager will call the family to arrange a meeting.

Mental Health and Developmental Services (MHDS) • Self-directed Autism Services (SDAS)

Child must meet level of care and family income may not exceed 500% of Federal Poverty level
